The minimum inhibitory concentration and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) against M. tuberculosis were 0.25-0.5 μg/mL and 1.0 μg/mL, respectively. The colony-forming units of mycobacteria were also decreased to less than 1.0 × 10(3) CFU/mL (i.e., 99.9% bacterial death). Both 1 and 2 showed no cytotoxic effects against Vero cells up to a concentration of 50 μg/mL. So, I and two other people decided to go,” Friedman said.
