So instead of having to use a browser, search Google or other search engines, etc... these URLs would be entered and you would get a list of results. The URL would then be a direct link to that file. This would also be a good way to get past a web filter if that were to happen. Essentially it would be my first step to get around current internet censorship. It should be pretty easy to program.
